Veteran Benefits

Did you serve your country? Are you the surviving spouse of Veteran?

If so, do you know you may be eligible for rarely used Veterans Benefits to help supplement high cost non-reimbursed monthly medical expenses?

The Non-Service Connected Disability Pension Benefit, also known as the "Veterans Aid and Attendance Benefit" can provide additional monthly income up to $1,949 a month not only to supplement low/no income veterans and surviving spouses, but also supplement eligible recurring out of pocket medical expenses such as:

  • Adult day services
  • Home Care
  • Assisted Living
  • Nursing Home
  • Family Caregivers
  • Medicare Premiums
  • Medical co-pays
  • In-home safety equipment.

This benefit is not dependent upon service-related injuries and allows for Veterans and surviving spouses with very low incomes or high expenses for care to receive additional monetary benefits.

Military Service Requirements:

  • Must have served at least 90 days of active duty with one day during a period of war
  • There must be an honorable discharge
  • Single surviving spouses of such veterans are also eligible.
  • In addition to service criteria the veteran or surviving spouse must also meet medical and financial requirements.

If qualified, maximum monthly pension amounts are:

  • Surviving Spouse of a Veteran - $1,094
  • Veteran with no Spouse or dependent children - $1,703
  • A married veteran and spouse - $2,019

The application process is very involved and many factors have to be considered prior to making the decision to file a claim for VA Disability Pension benefits. It is strongly recommended that you seek the guidance of a professional accredited by the Department of Veteran Affairs prior to submitting a claim for benefits.

What some satisfied customers are saying...

I was skeptical about using your guidebook and doing everything on my own, but IT WORKED!  I was notified in 27 days that I was approved for the benefit.  When I told my friends they couldn't believe it since 2 of them have waiting months to hear back from the VA.

I really appreciate what your guide has has done for my father and I. My father was awarded the pension benefit last week and has received a check retro to the date I filed using the informal claim process outlined in the guide. I would be happy to be a reference if you need one.
